As many of you may know my father Miguel has been selling Tamales in Hammond for about 24 years now, in which he has been selling at the food 4 less parking lot since they first opened. With this being his main income he raised his 3 kids and put us through private school being the head of household and main provider only barely making ends meet with his Hot Tamales. Throughout the years and with lots of effort and hard work he was able to finally make his dream come true and open up his small restaurant, with nothing but authentic Mexican food filled with homemade flavors, and freshly prepared by my mothers hardworking hands. A small business whom those that gave us the opportunity and tried us, know we worked very hard on as a family, and always served our customers with love. Unfortunately right around the beginning of COVID we had to sell. My father just turned 57 this week and has various health issues like diabetes, thyroid, blood pressure and others that seem to come along with age. With that being one of the main reasons he has held on to selling his Hot Tamales like he has been doing most of his life. This year itself has been very hard in his health and on our family with almost loosing my brother to heart failure 5 months ago and now Today on his 57th Birthday weekend oh his way to sell, some one thought they needed his vehicle and stole it with all his Tamales 35 dozens to be exact and his buckets of soap along with burritos and the food he sells. I am asking for some help to get my dad back on his feet please. Just so he can repurchase a work van that can get him from home to his selling spot and for some coolers for his Hot Tamales and Champurrado. If it is in your heart to help my Dad in any way we would be so ver grateful. Never did we think we would be here today, but those that know my father also know he has always been a church going man who does no harm and has a helping hand towards others. It’s his turn to be helped and I’m very proud of him and all he’s done. Just trying to give him a little back.
