My name is Jenny and one of my dearest friends Ashlie "Lady" Newton, has suffered a stroke and has been in neuro ICU in GA since 6/10/2024. Her family has shared that her stroke was due to a missed diagnosis of high-blood pressure and she also has 2 blood clots in her leg. "Some days have been better than others, and at this time 7/20/2024 she is both alert and responsive." Ashlie is still on a ventilator, and prayerfully will have it removed soon. It's not known at this time, when she will be able to be discharged. First, please pray for my friend Ashlie. Who am I to Ashlie?... I worked Full-time at our local church with "Lady" when my family & I lived in GA. She was always kind to me & we became close friends. I've watched her live out Christ's calling by all she has done and given to others to shine the light of Christ for His Glory. I can't fathom the cost of her medical bills & therapies to come, but I do know I can do this & hope that others will read about Ashlie & support in whatever way they can - pray, share, give. If you are fortunate enough to know Ashlie, you'd agree she's the type of person that keeps the world shining brighter. Most importantly, please keep Ashlie & her family in your daily prayers!
