Hi, my name is Elizabeth and my brother James suffered a massive stroke in June and was airlifted to Upstate Medical in Syracuse. There he underwent 2 surgeries. He was in a medically induced coma. James was in ICU. We did not know if he was going to make it. By the grace of God, he made it through. Then his insurance company would not pay for him to be in the hospital anymore. He had to go to a nursing home for rehab in Syracuse. James is working hard. He can not use his right arm or hand and he is having difficulty talking. Needs assistance with walking. He used a Hemi cane. Now his insurance will not pay for the nursing home. So he is going to be coming home. Debbie his partner has no other choice, she now has to have the house redone so it will be handicap accessible in less than a week. Also, the nursing home told her he needs 24-hour care. With all the expenses of traveling, hotels, and nursing home costs we have to add on construction to the house. Please if you can give it would be greatly appreciated. All the prayers would be greatly appreciated also. He is only 59 and has so much more life to live. Thank you in advance from the bottom of his family's heart.
