Hello, I am Lisa Dahl fundraising for my sister Jenny Dahl. Update from Jenny: Thank you to everyone who gave and shared. Because of this I was able to pay all of my home expenses last month. So far we have raised $2,480 (so grateful) and I’m not over the hump yet. I have another surgery coming up on the 31 of August. They will be braking my jaw and putting a plate in my chin. I will unfortunately have to have my mouth re wired shut for 6 to 8 weeks. I’m working up tell my surgery currently, and getting my hustle on. most likely will still need help. Honestly I’m very uncomfortable even asking friends, family, and community for help. I also know that acts of kindness, no matter how small, is ever wasted. I’m internally grateful and humbled. ******** Details of Accident On Wednesday 07/12/2024 Jenny was in a Lime Scooter accident that dislocated her jaw on the right and left side. A broken chin and broken mandible. Slightly dislocated nose and a broken eye socket. She has several missing teeth that she can’t even begin to imagine how much it will cost to get them fixed. Medicaid will cover her medical bills but unfortunately not dental and veneers (estimated $5,000) *Continue to read below ⬇️ photos* **She is home recovering from her surgery where her mouth is wired shut due to a broken jaw. She is on the mend and has an incredible support system and community** ******* So. As she’s in recovery there are concerns around finances as she will be out for another 6-8 weeks with second surgery and needs help for both everyday bills and future dental work equating to now to $7,520. Here is the rundown •Dental with Veneers included: $5,000 •Bills: $2,520 Jenny also wants to bring awareness around the dangers around Lime Scooters. The amount of data, FB comments, nurses and doctors that have mentioned similar damages these scooters have caused to others. It’s scary. So.
