Hi, our names are Robyn Null and Linda Spear, we are fundraising for the Niedermeyer family of Beulaville, NC. Nikki grew up and graduated from the Owego New York School district, she's one of our own ! On July 5, Nikki and Joe's world was turned upside down. Alecia their 4 year old daughter (one of 3 children) was rushed to UNC Chapel Hill Children’s Hospital and diagnosed with leukemia. Although the type of leukemia she has is very treatable and has a high survival rate, she and the family are facing a long two and a half years of chemotherapy and all of the complications that come with it. Alecia is stable and out of impatient care. She has completed her first two (2) outpatient chemotherapy treatments at UNC, Chapel Hill. The trip for the family every Friday is a 2.5 hour drive one way. Alecia is the strongest, bravest little girl. She is surpassing her doctor’s expectations thus far with her reaction to treatment, this little girl smiles every day thru this illness. We need to rally and help this family in their time of need with all the expenses ahead of them. This family is such a selfless and kind family, this is hard for them to accept our help.
