Update:We are awaiting for insurance final approval! Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield medical coverage now finds it medically necessary to cover extractions/dental implants. Once they approve this claim this would bring his total dental implant cost of $50k down to $5,300! I can't express enough how incredible and faithful God has been on this journey. For the first time in a very long time, we're seeing progress towards my brother Dakota getting dental implants. Hi everyone, my name is Cassandra and this is my brother Dakota. Dakota needs new teeth, and I’m asking for donations to help us afford dental implants. Dakota has had problems with his teeth his whole life. He is only 26 and has 18 teeth remaining and only 4 teeth can be saved. Traditional dentures cause up to 70% of bone loss in the first couple years, you even loose the natural structure of your face. Dakota deals with constant mouth pain and eating simple foods he experiences a sensation of eating glass. We need this surgery and unfortunately this procedure costs $10,000 and since it’s considered “cosmetic”, his insurance covers nothing. Dakota is the most kind hearted man I know. He’d give you the shirt off his back. He's in horrible pain every day, he deals with tooth infections and abscesses. It’s not like him to ask for help. Dental implants would improve his quality of life so much. Not only has this affected Dakota health, it's affected his mental state, and his lack of self esteem.
