Two months ago, our dad Doug was diagnosed with bladder cancer. What seemed like at the time, a standard, aggressive chemo treatment plan, turned out to be anything but. In the course of two months, he underwent three surgeries, a broken collar bone, an ER visit in the ambulance and many nights in the hospital. Unfortunately dad was never able to receive his chemotherapy and passed away on July 8th. With our mom now on her own and on a limited income, the high cost of all the bills will be quite the strain on her.
