Hi, my name is Stacy Bartels. My sister-in-law, Christie Bartels, has been battling breast cancer for a few months. She has completed two of six chemo treatments; and is scheduled to have a mastectomy in October. I set up this LFEBridge to raise funds to help Christie and her family financially during this difficult time. Christie is a beautiful, strong, amazing woman, with a wonderful husband and three sweet children (7, 5 & 2). Christie is a fighter and will beat this, but it will be a long road. While she has a solid support system, they can use all the help they can get. Christie's husband, Chris has had to work overtime to make ends meet, while also having to take time off work to attend doctor appointments with Christie and be with their children when chemo has taken its toll. After Christie's mastectomy in October, Chris will need to take about three weeks off work, unpaid. My hope and goal is to ease the financial burden, so they can focus on Christie's recovery.
