On Thursday, July 20th, Matt and Patty Donovan got some devastating news. After what they thought would be a simple trip to the doctor, their oldest daughter Charlotte (10) ended up being diagnosed with B-Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL). To say their world has been turned upside down is a huge understatement. Charlotte is currently admitted to the hospital and has already begun her treatment, which will continue for the next 2-3 years. With two other children at home (one being an infant), and both Matt and Patty having full time jobs, there is so much to juggle. Treatment will require frequent trips back and forth to Sacramento, lots of missed work, and countless other expenses. Matt and Patty are truly some of the very best people I know, and are even better parents. I would love to be able to help make things a little easier for them, by not having to worry about money while they focus on rearranging their lives and helping Charlotte navigate her treatment. If you are able to contribute, I know that they would be immensely grateful!
