Hi my name is Adrian, together with our family, we humbly ask for your support to finance Carlo Soriano's upcoming major operation. Carlo is our cousin. He turned 39 in July and lives in Angeles City, Philippines with his younger brothers. Earlier in April, he was unexpectedly diagnosed with STAGE 3 esophageal cancer. They come from a broken family and their Nanay (Filipino for Mother) has been their sole provider all their life. She is a care worker in the US and has been their only source of funds throughout this ordeal (especially since Carlo could not work full time anymore). She is also a senior, who had to take on multiple jobs recently to pay for all his hospital bills and medication. He is currently under the care of his fiancée Tin, who had to quit her job to take him to his daily treatments and to attend to him fully. As of today, he has successfully endured 1 operation, 30 rounds of radiation, and 5 rounds of grueling chemotherapy. However, these have depleted the family’s savings. Albeit, he has also shrunk down to 46 kgs., as his only source of nourishment has been formula fed via a jejunostomy tube. But the biggest obstacle is yet to come: an Esophagectomy (surgery) that he needs to undergo in two months. It will cost around USD 40,000 (including anticipated complications/ICU confinement, recovery treatment and maintenance). We also hope to set aside a little amount to allow his Nanay to fly home. As we are all far away from him, and we too struggle daily to make ends meet for our families, this is the best and the last remaining way for us to gather all the necessary resources. Knowing him being the ultimate realist-and all the expenses, effort, time, pain, and sacrifice it takes to overcome this circumstance, he would have normally just shrugged it off and bailed out from day one. But to our surprise, he did not. He has been fighting with all his might, fighting like he never did before. Now, halfway through the battle, it is with your support that would enable him to finally WIN IT. Every contribution, no matter the size, can make a tremendous difference in his journey towards recovery. Your help will not only assist financially, but it will also provide the invaluable comfort of knowing that our friends and loved ones stand beside us during these trying times. If you are unable to donate at this moment, we completely understand. Your thoughts, prayers, and shares are equally appreciated. Thank you.
