Hi, my name is Ruby and I am raising money for my 11 year old son Leo. Leo had meningitis when he was a baby that left him with complex needs. He is visually impaired, hearing impaired, has epilepsy, learning difficulties, hormone deficiencies and mobility issues. He is a charming and happy boy who feels at peace around horses and nature but struggles to make sense of the busy world we live in. We want to give him the best chance to access education by accessing the wonderful therapeutic environment that Move the Mind brings to so many children. Leo has been attending Move the Mind for just over 2 years and it has helped him grow in confidence, physical stability and emotional regulation. He has even started giving the horse a kiss and a stroke, the love he feels there is so heartwarming. He has gone from heavily supported riding with me to riding by himself, something he can truly be proud of himself for. Currently Leo spends some time at Move the Mind 2 days a week but he has to go home to use the toilet and have his dinner. If we build a disabled toilet at the farm it would save him the stress of strapping in and travelling home. The ramps and safe space would give him a place to relax when the weather isn’t great. Overall it would make it a much more accessible place for him to relax, learn and grow. Building the accessible toilet would mean other wheelchair users could access the farm and enjoy the life changing opportunities it has to offer. Thank you so much for reading if you’ve got this far, any donation are greatly appreciated and any suggestions to help raise money, fundraising support is all massively helpful. love and thanks to all his supporters, you make all the difference. Ruby, Jake, Leo, Tygh and baby sister *UPDATE* We have made the decision with the builders, to up our goal. Our plans to make the toilet as accessible as possible. My original target was very ambitious for what we wanted to achieve.  We will still set out to build the very best we can with whatever we raise and we are so so thankful for everyone’s contributions.
