Hello everyone My name is Helen and I’m starting this fundraising campaign on behalf of Mamie’s immediate family to help bring her home where she can continue her recovery and rehabilitation. On Sept. 19, 2024 Mamie was an innocent victim of a senseless shooting where she sustained a bullet to her head. Respecting her families wishes, they are asking for privacy due to the nature of the crime and time to heal considering the journey that lies ahead. By God’s grace, she is still here with us today and has been recovering in a facility where she is going through extensive physical therapy. Her progress has been remarkable, but she still has a long way to go. The shooting has left her unable to walk (although she is able to stand with assistance) but not for very long and she requires a wheelchair to get around. For months she was not able to talk. With therapy she is now talking and learning how to read and write. Mamie is a fighter and has been fighting for months to make a full recovery. She can come home and continue her therapy, but it will require modification of her home so that it is ADA accessible. We are asking for help to fund the costs of the demolition and remodel of her bedroom, bathroom and installing a wheelchair ramp. She will also require a hospital bed and other medical necessities that will help with her rehabilitation.  Mamie would give the shirt off her back to help anyone in need that she loved. Let’s help lessen the financial, as well as the emotional burden the family has endured for the last 10 months. To help maximize donations for Mamie and her family, we ask that you please share this campaign with your family and friends. Let’s all come together to do as much as we can to help get her home so she can thrive in her own environment and be surrounded with support from her loved ones. No amount is too small to give. On behalf of the family, thank you for your continued prayers and support. Sincerely, Helen Mull
