Hi, my name is Pam and I am reaching out to the community with the hope of being able to bring my dad, Victor Brooks, home after a life-altering spinal cord injury. As many of you know, Dad had a fall on April 22nd, 2024. As a result, his neck was broken at the C3-C4 level, causing him to become a quadriplegic. After spending a little more than a month in ICU he was finally stable enough to begin physical rehabilitation. With his hard work and determination to come home, his expected discharge date is August 31st, 2024. The cost of accessibility renovations and equipment needed for him to be able to come home again, far exceed their finances. Dad has been an active member of the community for decades. After serving with the Canadian Coast Guard, being President of the Royal Canadian Legion Morrisburg Branch, Chief of the Williamsburg Fire Department, a member of the Masonic Lodge, and serving his community with his business "Victor Brooks & Son Tree Services Inc."; We are reaching out in hopes of raising funds to make his life at home accessible. All and any donations are very much appreciated by the family.
