Hello! My name is Hannah Hutchins Comerford, and I'm raising money for a woman who is very dear to so many of us. Mia has been a mother to countless young adults. She's always opened her home to anyone in need of support, food, or simply a safe place to hang out. As one of Mia's adopted daughters, I'm asking you to consider supporting Brian and Mia so they can move back home to Washington State, where Mia can get the support she needs and improve her health. Mia and Brian moved to Arizona in October 2024, and since then they've faced multiple misfortunes, tragedies, and setbacks--the worst of all being a sharp decline in Mia's health. Over the last several years, Mia has suffered from long COVID, a traumatic brain injury, extreme allergic reactions, breathing difficulties, and organ failure, among other health problems. The doctor's visits, treatments, and medications have taken a significant toll on their finances. Brian and Mia discovered that Mia's health improved dramatically while visiting their home in Washington. They also knew they would have much more physical and emotional support from their family and friends if they were living close to them again. So Brian and Mia decided it was time to move back. Unfortunately, Mia unexpectedly lost her job, and she is not well enough to find a new one. This added financial stress has made it more difficult for Brian and Mia to fund their cross-country move. We're hoping to raise $10,000 that would go directly to a moving company that would move them to WA. Anything extra would go to Brian and Mia's travel expenses as well as any other expenses that might come up as they settle into their WA home.
