On July 10 Montpelier, VT got hit with a severe storm and the most catastrophic floods since 1927. My sister, Beckie, has called VT home for over 20 years and currently lives in downtown Montpelier, where the flood waters were the highest. Extensive damage occurred, and local officials predict it will take quite a long time for the downtown to become fully functional again. Last Thursday, Beckie was informed that she will need to find alternate housing as repairs to her building will take an indefinite amount of time. Currently, her apartment is uninhabitable for her and her sweet pooch Diamond. Beckie needs our support in securing temporary housing and potentially permanent housing and covering the costs that will incur with managing such change. Please help support my sister through this cataclysmic life change. Your donations will be used to aid Beckie in the aqusition of secure and safe housing that will help her maintain her health and livelihood. We will continue to update the page as things change and her situation becomes more clear.
