Hello my name is Aurora Rose and I am 19 months. I am loving, sassy, happy, carefree little girl. I was born with Goldenhar Syndrome. Goldenhar syndrome is a rare congenital condition characterized by abnormal development of the eye, ear and spine. Children with Goldenhar syndrome are born with partially formed or totally absent ears, benign growths of the eye, and spinal deformities such as scoliosis. Goldenhar syndrome may also affect the facial structure and other body organs such as heart, kidney, lungs and nervous system. In most cases, the deformity only affects one side of the body. Goldenhar has not affected my heart, brain, or kidneys. It has however affected me physically. I was born with Ocular Dermoids in both my eyes. These are benign growths. The growth in my left eye has increased in size and has caused my vision to get worse. The Dr. Feel it is necessary to remove the Dermoid from my left eye to give me a better chance of seeing. On August 29 I will be in Denver to undergo surgery to have the Dermoid on my left eye removed. The whole trip would be a weeklong stay for me and my family. My family is looking for Donations to help cover travel expenses. If you can please donate to helping me get to Denver that would be greatly appreciated. Anything helps. Thank you for reading my story! Lots of love Little Aurora Rose Montoya
