Hello generous soul! My name is Ari (they/them) and I’m a Black and Indigenous trans person based in Brooklyn. You might know me through friends, drag or work. I’m grateful to say that after 8 years, I now have access to the gender affirming care that will drastically improve my life. 8 years ago my binder and I were the best of friends, going out daily, but as years passed the damage on my body has become more apparent. From searing pain in my ribs while lifting objects to waking up abruptly with sharp pains in my chest, I have been plagued by the compounded experience of the physical, mental and social. Now it’s time for my binder and I to work out a healthier relationship. Here’s were you come in! In order to make the most of my healing time, I will be having top surgery and a hysterectomy on the same day on 8.17! Since the surgeons don’t expect me to be able to work for almost two months, healing will impact my ability to pay rent, buy food for me and my three cats, cover my light and internet bill as well as any offhand medical expenses such as medicine and Ubers to get to my post-op check-ins. I really need your help raising these funds so that I don’t overstrain myself trying to return to work early. Anything you are able to give adds up and will help me focus on healing. If money isn’t something you can give right now, acts of kindness are just as generous. Please support my BENEFIT SHOW @ Freddy’s 8.10 graciously being held by GrippySockBurlesque Now help me ️⚧️ YEET ️⚧️ THESE ️⚧️ TEETS ️⚧️ & ️⚧️ SHUT ️⚧️ DOWN ️⚧️ THIS ️⚧️ FACTORY! ️⚧️ A very special thank you to those who have decided to offer their time during the post-op period.
