On February 18th, 2024 Andrea (Andi Donohew) was diagnosed with Stage 4 Triple Negative Breast Cancer that has metastasized to her bones and lungs. The Donohew’s have incurred a great deal of medical bills despite the medical insurance they have. Also, while having to travel a great deal for doctor appointments (fuel adds up quick) & having to eat out a good bit during travels. Chad has also been having to leave work early & his paid time off is running out & since him and I last spoke on it, it could’ve already run out (I don’t remember) The Donohew’s are the kind of people to step up & help others, not the kind to ask for help. Let’s all help them the way they would help us or even a complete stranger. Here is the most current update on Andi. Lots of people have reached out this week asking for updates and offering prayers and support. We thank each one of you!! Andi is still in the hospital. On Monday this began with finding a blood clot in her right lung. They found fluid on her left lung and pulled 400 ml. A CT scan showed multiple compression fractures in her back. One in her neck at the base an two more in her middle back. They want to do an MRI of her brain and entire spine but due to her severe claustrophobia she'll have to be sedated. That's taking some time to do so we hope that Monday they'll be able to complete it. Because the cancer is in her bone marrow this caused her hemoglobin to drop dangerously low. She had a blood transfusion for that on Thursday. She's been in excruciating pain. Unable to sleep or get any comfort at all. They are working to get all this pain managed. She's very strong spiritually and mentally. The strongest I've ever seen! None of this has deterred her and has only strengthened her faith in God! We're still expecting a miracle and ask that each one of you do the same. Again, thanks so much for everything!
