Abbie is a good friend and caring mother who recently escaped a domestic violence situation that endangered both her and her baby. As an element of the abuse her savings and most of her possessions were stolen. She is in a shelter where she can stay until she can get her own place, is taking advantage of available programs, and has recently started a new job, but the cost of bills, deposits, rent, and managing childcare and work hours has made getting on her feet very difficult. This fundraiser is meant to give Abbie the boost she needs to fully regain independence–a permanent place that gives her and her baby security and privacy, furnishings and daily essentials, and the many costs of raising a baby. Starting from scratch is rough, and a financial boost would really help her get back to self-sufficiency. The funds will be used for: Deposit and rent Bills Childcare Baby supplies (she's growing quick!) Legal Fees Furnishings Household goods General cost of living As her friend I want to say that Abbie is wonderful–brave and resourceful and resilient and hardworking–and after what she's survived she deserves the world!
