Hi, my name is Althia and I am fund raising for our friends. You can be a part of a helping hand for a family farm. Eric and Alison were recently married and looked forward to living and working on the family farm which was established in 1955 by their parents who worked the farm and worked a second job on the car ferry. It is their dream to grow regenerative done right Grass Fed & Finished Beef. Regenerative Agriculture reverses global climate change. They use recycled paper products for the bedding which also helps reduce methane gas by absorption plus it biodegrades faster into a compostable product that they reuse in their pastures. Their farm is their primary income, they work 10+ hours daily as most farmers do, and like so many others they “LOVE” what they do! However shortly after they inherited the farm, they learned that there were significant back taxes, and other financial burdens attached to the farm. They decided to try work to get the farm back on its feet again. Both got second jobs to apply towards this debt. Allison works at a local farm store and a solar company, and Eric also works any free hours he can at the local farm store. Both are still working on their farm, producing cattle, hay, and farm market produce which they sell at local farm markets. However, recently they suffered major tractor breakdowns, equipment breakdown and drought. All of which have added to their financial burdens, lacking funding to start equipment repairs. They have sold what they could to try to maintain but are truly in danger of losing their farm. They are not folks who know how to accept help and would never ask for it, and as a matter of fact, if anyone needs help, they are the first to show up and lend a helping hand.
