Hi everyone, 1 week and 1 day ago my brother's heart decided it was going to quit. Thank god he was at work when he hit the ground and stopped breathing, his coworkers were there to perform CPR, the ambulance arrived and the EMTs restarted his heart with a defibrillator. His Left anterior descending artery (the widow maker) was 100% blocked. If everyone hadn’t acted so quickly he wouldn’t be here with us today. He is uninsured. He was discharged today from the progressive care unit and although he should be in a rehab facility to regain strength he was sent home to rehabilitate. Our family scrambled to get the things he needs to move around, shower, get in and out of bed etc. but there is only so much we can do for him financially. Medical bills, follow-up doctor visits and prescriptions are now added to all of his other financial obligations everyone has and going back to work isn't physically possible right now. Pat is a strong and determined man, he is also a private man and a proud man who hates asking for help with ANYTHING. I know he won't like this but, big sister (me) knows there is no way to get through this unless we get some help. All that being said please donate whatever you can no dollar amount is too small. No matter how big/old he is Pat is still this little guy to me. Help me help my brother.
