Hannah has been battling a rare autoimmune disease ( voltage gaited potassium channel antibodies, reflex sympathetic dystrophy, and Ehlers -Danlos syndrome) since the age of 12. Medical treatments for her care have been limited in Mississippi. She is eligible for a new device( sacral nerve stimulator) to help with management of her symptoms and improve her quality of life. The University of Louisville in Kentucky is one of only three facilities that offer this procedure. The cost surpasses 50,000 and insurance will not cover it. She is scheduled to begin the procedure Aug. 14th. Hannah is a nursing student at JCJC and will finish May 2024. Her goal is to contribute her knowledge and skills back to medical studies so she can help others battling rare diseases. Any contribution you feel led to make will help cover the cost of this procedure.
