Hi Everyone- For those who don’t me, my name is Hailey, I’m 26 years old. Over the past 3.5 years I have been in and out of eating disorder treatment at higher levels such as 24 hours of care (inpatient and residential). Unfortunately, due to relapses, I haven’t spent more than 3 months out of treatment. Because of this I haven’t been able to hold a steady job due to my absence. Currently, I am in treatment all the way in Chicago. I was here back in November- February, and returned at the beginning of June. I feel fortunate to receive all the amazing help that is provided. That being said, treatment is expensive and because I haven’t been able to work, it has left a lot of financial burden. I am working really hard to make this progress last, which means I will be away for at least 2 more months. My current goal is to leave residential at the beginning of August and stay to do their partial hospitalization program. This program runs 7 days a week. I’ll be able to do exposure work and continue my work on body image and other things in individual therapy and groups. I am reaching out because I am looking for housing to stay in Chicago while I do this program. Ideally somewhere where I can have my certified dog Benny here. He helps keep me regulated and on schedule which is beneficial for not only my eating disorder but my other mental health conditions as well. I also will need to pay expenses for daily living. I feel so grateful for all of the support I’ve been given these past years. So many have reached out to offer kind words and messages and it truly means so much to me. I wouldn’t be where I am if it wasn’t for all the people in my life, especially my family. Any donations would be so greatly appreciated to help me in this last stretch of treatment. for anyone who is struggling with their own mental health, know that I am here and rooting for you.
