Hi! I’m Jennifer, a local photographer. An amazing client of mine, Carrie Gross has recently been diagnosed with cancer. I have photographer her wedding, both boys newborns-1year , family sessions, etc. She has been so loyal to my business and me, and I want to help give back to their family. Below is her story…… So, this month I was diagnosed with what we believe to be Cholangiocarcinoma. It's a cancer that starts in the bile ducts and it's a pretty rare beast. The cancer has spread. I was having no issues whatsoever except I started having some pain that comes and goes and I decided to have it checked out. THANK GOD I did that and THANK GOD my PA ordered an abdominal CT or we would have never have known until the symptoms got worse. That being said I have a lot of options out there as far as treatment goes and if my body responds well to those treatments I can gain ALOT of time. I DO NOT WANT YOUR PITY. If you want to stand up with me to help me fight, support, encourage and pray for me I am all for it. I have an amazing husband and two incredible little boys that I plan to be here for. My first round of chemo started today. So far I have tolerated it well and hope that it stays that way. Mitchell sat with me through the entire 5 hours of my treatment and has literally been amazing through all of this. I couldn't ask for a better husband. My mother quit her job to help me on the days I don't feel well and with the boys. My in laws have been absolutely amazing in helping with the boys and have been so encouraging. My ENTIRE family has been amazing. My church family and other church families have been amazing just by keeping me in their prayers. This is a hard situation and I have asked God WHY more times than I can count. But God is STILL THERE and God is STILL GOOD. And God along with other forms of support and treatments is going to get me through this. Please keep us in your prayers on this journey. Cancer picked the WRONG girl this time!
