Baby Jrue Roman was born Sunday, July 9th at 37 weeks in Fillmore Utah. It was after birth when the hospital staff notice something wrong. Baby Jrue was life-flighted to Primary's Children Hospital in Salt Lake City. On arrival a procedure was done called balloon Atrial Septostomy, this is where a balloon at the end of the catheter is used to enlarge the opening between the Atria. 3 days later he had an open heart surgery called Transposition of the great arteries where the Aorta and the right Ventrical are reversed in the origins from the heart. After surgery, he became very swollen to this his chest had to remain open for 3 days. Due to his inflammation chest tubes were put in to alleviate fluid build-up. Jrue had been on medication to relieve all the fluids in his lungs which has helped him be off the ventilator and on high-flow oxygen. If you find it in your heart to help this sweet family in this hard time. we would greatly appreciate it. May God Bless you and your wonderful family.
