Welcome to Glen Archer’s Go Fund Me Page My name is Jenny, and I am setting up this Go Fund Me for one of our family members, Glen. If you have come to this link to help bring Glen back to Kenora Ontario, Canada from Georgia USA, you have come to the right spot! On July 3, 2024, Glen suffered a horrible skydiving accident. He overshot the drop zone and crashed into a boulder, rendering him unconscious and the extent of his injuries was unknown at that time. Glen was airlifted to a hospital in Atlanta, Georgia and is still in the USA receiving care. So far Glen has come through 2 surgeries – he ruptured his spleen (had to have it removed), and fractured his spine and ribs. He has suffered multiple strokes which is affecting his memory. He was in ICU with feeding tubes and intubated. He finally has the tubes removed and was recently moved to the Step Down Unit. Glen is in good spirts and cracking jokes in true Glen fashion. But let’s not kid ourselves – he is in a lot of pain as well. Unfortunately, Glen does NOT have medical coverage and the bills are amassing as you can imagine. (approximately $250,000 USD owing for hospital and emergency services and its climbing). The family needs help to cover the hospital bills in Georgia, transportation home for himself, and his sister, Emma, who flew out to be with him and help. Everyone here at home is trying to get everything set up for Glen and figure out the family's next steps in trying to figure out how to get his truck and everything else he went down there with, home. They will not let Glen drive for obvious reasons. This is going to be a long road of recovery for Glen. He will have at least, a minimum of 3 months of rehabilitation when he is released from the hospital and gets back home. We are asking for your support and any donation to the Glen Archer Go Fund Me. The money will go directly to the family, to start paying off the incurring, astronomical medical charges and set a plan in motion to cover transportation costs to come home and further rehabilitation costs. If you are unable to donate – the next best thing is to share, share, share this page! Every bit helps. Send healing vibes his way – the recovery process is going to be long and difficult for him. Thank you in advance – keep an eye out for updates on Glen's progress– let's bring him home safely and as quickly as possible from the United States . Love, The Archer Family xo
