On December 18, 2014 my dad had a heart attack which also happened to be the day his grand daughter Presley was born. He had some major blockages in his arteries and the doctors called him a dead man walking; he more than likely would not have made it if he did not rush home when his grand daughter was born 4 week early from driving on the road and go to the hospital when he did. (We all say she is his guardian angel since she was born so prematurely) He had 4 stents put in and spent a few days in the hospital. He has been a truck driver for over 25 years and has noticed his feet being cold ever since the heart attack. They've been progressively getting worse to point of causing him pain. He's seen multiple doctors and has found out he has permanent nerve damage in his feet from the heart attack. He's also had MRI's and has some damage in his back that is not aiding in the pain. They have him on nerve medication, but it will take time to really help his condition and it will be a roller coaster ride with the permanent nerve damage. He has now been off of work since September 11th. My father will never drive a truck again in his life. The bills are piling up in their household, groceries can't be bought and medical bills of course are adding to their stress. I know they've done a lot for me, my children, and my siblings. My father was the main source of income, he is in the process of trying to get on disability but we're not sure of how long of a process that may be. They are the most selfless people I know, they do anything and everything they can for me. I know they've helped A LOT of their friends, and if they had the means they would help out more. They are literally struggling to put food on the table right now and are having to pick/choose which bills to pay to get by. The goal is a generic number, any little bit helps. Thank you SO much.from the kids, Summer, Sydni, & Kev
