Hi, my name is Andrew Fitzgibbon. In January of 2024, I began a one-year addiction treatment program called Sandhills Adult and Teen Challenge. While in this program, I had the privilege of meeting Gib Lopez. We were students together, but something was different about Gib. Wherever he went, the love of Christ was evident in him. Gib came into the program broken but graduated as one of the strongest men I have ever had the privilege of meeting. Gib is a father to 2 children (with one on the way) and has an amazing wife named Jessica. Following graduation, Gib moved his family across the country from California to North Carolina where he completed a 6-month Internship before joining the team as a full-time employee. Gib served as the Worship Leader and taught men struggling with addiction how to develop a deep relationship with Christ through the art of worship. Many of you know him as the "Man who leads the Sandhills Teen Challenge Choir". All I know is that if you have ever witnessed him lead worship to Christ, it is an experience you will never forget. Recently, Gib had major surgery where part of his colon, a 2.5in abscess, and a section of his intestine had to be removed. He is looking at a 6 month recovery and I am asking for financial support for his family from everyone who reads this. If you have met Gib then you know his character. We are the body of Christ and one of our own needs us.
