Despite all odds, I have made it to University of Kentucky. I grew up with severe financial difficulties; with ten brothers and sisters, the money got a little tight. My father, the sole supporter for my family, has been from job to job, and is currently unemployed. He has always been able to provide for his family though, through thick and thin, giving us a roof over our heads and food in our stomachs. I will be eternally grateful to my parents for this. When I got accepted, I was over the moon, because I realized that I was so much closer to my dream of becoming a Cardiothoracic Surgeon. Naturally, I was worried that going to college would mean I would have to go to great lengths to pay for my schooling. I applied for scholarships and financial aid, and in the end I only got enough to leave me with a $15,000 debt.  It has come to my attention, that my parents, who are both unemployed, and I have not been able to pay the monthly bills, leaving a hold on my student account so that I can't register for classes next semester. It was made apparent to me (halfway through my first semester), that if I do not come up with a solution to my problem, I will be kicked out of the school I worked so hard to get into. I have taken out loans, applied for more scholarships and loans, and even requested an outside endorser. But all of it was denied. I have done all I can as of right now, and I don't want to be kicked out. I would appreciate anything and I just hope to be kept in your prayers if that is possible.#GFMScholarship
