Help get Sebastian outdoors! Sebastian has always been an active, nature-loving boy but ever since he was afflicted with a life-altering polio-like illness, his ability to be outside has been greatly reduced. He has to either strap into a child backpack carrier or ride in a children's bike trailer when his family journeys outdoors. What young man wants to be carried or towed like a child? Sebastian yearns to actively participate in hiking or biking trips and have more independence during scouting activities with his younger brothers. Often, when his brothers head to the trail or into the woods behind our house, he sits on the back deck listening to their adventures, longing to follow them. We are seeking support to acquire some outdoor focused mobility devices to improve Sebastian’s quality of life and provide him with some high-quality memories of outdoor adventuring he would otherwise be unable to do. Help us get him outdoors! This fundraiser will supply Sebastian with the following: An electric ATV designed with suitable safety features and with a long battery life to allow for safe and quiet exploration of the wooded trails outside our backyard, to use on trails at state parks, and to participate in scouting events with greater independence: TomRide TR300 - youth specific electric ATV and import fees duties A foldable 3-wheel bike with adjustable pedal-assist to provide the stability and assistance he needs while still giving him the independence and exercise he craves.
