• The Bleeker family consists of Jacob who works at Stryker, Katie who stays at home, Gemma - 5 years old and Tatum -3 years old. • On May 12, 2024, Gemma was diagnosed with leukemia (B-All) shortly after her 5th Birthday. She is currently receiving treatment at Bronson Pediatric Oncology Department in Kalamazoo with a wonderful team of doctors and nurses. After a month of chemotherapy her bone marrow sample unfortunately still showed trace amounts of leukemia so we have had to move to a more intensive track of treatment. This will include scheduled hospital stays that were not anticipated before. • The family would like to first thank everyone who has been praying and who has already given - the cards, presents, meal train, groceries, yard work, child care, gift cards, and monetary donations have been so helpful and wonderful to us during this difficult time. We greatly appreciate it as well as all the love and support. • We are extremely thankful to Alex who is our fabulous family photographer and has offered to do mini photo sessions for donations for our family. Currie Photography on Facebook if you are interested in a photo session or have any questions! • We also continue to have so many fantastic family and friends asking how they can help so we decided to have this Go Fund Me created to help us out financially for the rest of this journey (2.5 years of chemotherapy and maintenance is anticipated). These funds will help us pay our yearly fees for Michigan Children’s Special Health Care Services (this is like a supplemental insurance for Gemma’s medical expenses) and bills/groceries during hospital stays. It will also help us in supplementing more virtual learning options for Gemma this Kindergarten school year as we continue with homeschooling. • Thank you to everyone in advance for your donations!!
