Hi, my name is Kelly and my family and I are raising funds for my brother Greg Oakman. July 18th, Greg was rushed to the emergency room after suffering a stroke. After several days of diagnostic testing and scans to determine what caused the stroke the doctors uncovered that Greg has mylo proliferative neoplasm fibrosis. This is a blood condition that is luckily treatable, but Greg still has a long journey ahead of him for recovery. He is still in the hospital being monitored and undergoing more tests to ensure that there are no other underlying concerns. We are optimistic he should be released soon so that he can start his journey of getting better. If you know my brother Greg you know that he is one of the kindest, most positive, most sincere people that you will ever meet and would stop whatever he is doing to lend a helping hand. Greg is an extremely hard worker and takes a lot of pride in his job at the Tampa airport. He relies very much so on his ability to work and every dollar counts for him to pay his bills and keep food on the table. He will be out of work indefinitely while he recovers and our goal is to raise funds so that he doesn't have to worry about his financial situation and can focus on his health. Although his medical insurance will offset much of the medical costs there will be unforeseen amounts he will be responsible for. All the funds raised will go towards his monthly bills, including rent, utilities, car and insurance, food and upcoming medical expenses. Any support that you can provide will go a long way for Greg, even if it is just a few dollars or prayers for his recovery.
