On June 28, 2024 Clark and Callie welcomed their precious baby girl Emerie into this world. Prior to her long awaited arrival Callie’s doctor sent Callie to a baby cardiologist in Austin who then referred her to Cook’s Children’s Medical Center in Ft. Worth where they determined that baby Emerie has a rare heart condition and following her birth would need to undergo open heart surgery. Clark and Callie and their team of doctors came up with a plan and Emerie would be delivered at a hospital next door to Cooks Children’s Hospital where she could be closely monitored and she would already be there for her heart surgery. I am happy to report on their behalf that she had her surgery on Monday and everything went well and baby is recovering nicely and mom and dad can breathe just a little bit. They are not exactly sure yet how long she will be at Cook’s for observation but they are estimating 35 days as long as everything is going well. They are asking for continued prayers for Emerie, as with any surgery the doctors are watching closely for some issues that could arise and awaiting lab results. Clark recently accepted a job offer and they are just getting settled in their new home in a new town. Relocating has been great for them and they both have found great jobs with great companies however there are stipulations on taking a leave of absence as with any new job. Clark is back home and he goes back to work this week but he plans on making the 4 hour trip on the weekends to be with his girls until they can all go home together. Callie will be by baby Emeries side while she recovers. As you can imagine Clark and Callie like any parent are only concerned with her health and making sure that she has the best care that she can get. I know that they are usually the first to offer to help anyone in need and the last to ask for any help but I also know that this will have an impact on them financially and even the smallest donation will be useful and greatly appreciated.
