Lucy has been battling cancer or its side effects since 2018, when she was diagnosed with Ewing’s Sarcoma. This has resulted in 14 rounds of chemotherapy; three invasive surgeries, which consisted of removing three of her vertebra and replacing them with two of her ribs which are now supported with titanium screws & carbon fibre rods; and with additional treatments, including 27 proton beam therapies. Lucy responded well, but a routine scan in June 2024 revealed one large tumour in her left lung and two smaller ones in her right lung. This was absolutely devastating news for Lucy as she had only started to get back to some sort of a normal life since her initial diagnosis. This recurrence resulted in a further six rounds of chemotherapy and surgery in November 2024 which showed that her left lungs function was extremely weak. It was at this stage the decision was made to suspend radiotherapy and Lucy was placed on “watch & wait for a return”. Unfortunately, in May 2024 a scan revealed Lucy had three lung tumours and one on her hip. With her current treatment plan involving a new drug regime, we are hoping and praying that gives her some more time to make precious family memories. With the family's permission, we have started this fundraising campaign to raise funds for the family and we would kindly ask if you could donate anything that you can afford and/or share the link on your social media platform. If you have any trouble donating on this page, you can alternatively donate via PayPal: Please contact Lynne through Facebook or email. We are grateful to each & every person who contributes no matter how big or small. We ask that you will keep Lucy in your thoughts & prayers. Thank you so much.
