We are creating this LFEBridge on behalf of our sister Katelin, her husband Adam, and their son Jaxson. For nearly the past year Katelin has privately been battling some health issues. She has kept them private partly because she is fiercely stubborn, but mainly because she did not want to burden others with worrying about her. In November she thought she had found the answers to her medical issues and had to make the tough decision to have surgery that would take away her ability to have any more children. The decision to go through with the surgery and take away that possibility for her and Adam was devastating for her. Those of you that know Katelin know that she wanted to have another baby more than anything and that being a mom to Jaxson is truly her greatest joy. After the surgery, she seemed to be on the road to recovery. She fought hard for several months with Adam by her side to get her body back to what it once was. Always keeping Adam and her beloved son Jaxson as her main motivation. She was doing good, was in high spirits and we were all happy that she was on the mend. Unfortunately, about a month ago her health took a huge turn for the worse. She was hospitalized once again and ended up needing to be airlifted from the hospital near her home to a hospital five hours away. As a part of her treatment, she has been sedated in order to put her stubbornness to sleep and let her body get the uninterrupted rest it needs to try to heal itself. This shocking turn of events has led to an extreme financial burden for their family. Adam and Jaxson remain at her side, but the financial burden of gas and hotel stays is taking its toll. As a result of her health issues, Katelin has been placed on long-term leave from work and is only able to collect a percentage of her wages. Throughout this journey, Adam has been by her side as her husband and caregiver. Katelin was unable to do even the most basic tasks without Adam's assistance. Due to the fact that he needed to care for Katelin, Adam has been unable to work. For this reason, we are asking for donations to help ease Adam's burden of worrying about their finances so that he can continue to support both Katelin and Jaxson during this very difficult time for their family.
