My name is Lyz Jankevicius, cousin to Nick and Jordan. This story begins back in March. On the night of the 28th, Jordan came home to find her father Paul curled up on the couch. Unfortunately, he was not sleeping as she thought he was. Paul had passed away at the young age of 57.With the help of family and friends, things were starting to look positive for the grieving family. Sadly, life had other plans for this healing household, and on September 28, exactly six months after the passing of her husband, Julia-Anne was admitted to the hospital.Doctors found she has three brain aneurysms -one of which had burst. After surgery, and other complications, Julia-Anne was on the road to recovery. She fought her hardest, and was expected to go home after a few weeks. Very suddenly and unexpectedly, things took a turn for the worst, and Julia-Anne was pronounced dead on Wednesday, October 21. She was only 52. She will be joining her husband for their 28th wedding anniversary. My cousins made a very tough and brave decision to donate their mother’s organs. Thanks to their generosity her kidneys will continue to fight- only this time it will be some one else’s battle.Nick, 21, is in school for his Bachelor of Landscape Architect. His older sister Jordan, 24, is working on her Masters of Science in Environmental Science.  They were very lucky to have had parents that allowed them to concentrate solely on their studies, as they are both excelling in their schooling. They are now living with some very harsh realities. They have to learn how to be adults, with a lot more responsibilities than home work and tests.Nick and Jordan have to sell their family home. They will have to plan a memorial for their mother. They have to start over in their lives – find a place to live and learn how to be on their own.I am reaching out to you for help financially. We have all come together as a family and done the best we can to support these two kids, but it is not enough. They want to have a memorial service on October 28, Julia-Anne’s birthday. We can not do it with out your help. They will also need financial support selling the house, and finding them selves a new place to live.Your help would mean the world to my cousins, my family and I, and of course, to their parents who can no longer help them.Thank you so much for taking your time to read our struggle. Any help is greatly appreciated.
