Forrest McBee is a longtime servant to his community and country. He proudly served in the U.S. Marine Corps. and is now a Lieutenant of the Sewanee Volunteer Fire Department. After serving his country, Forrest began working with his family's tree service business as an arborist. Forrest is diligent in the safety of himself, his crew, and his tools. He went as far as to train Sewanee Firefighters on correct chainsaw use and upkeep to ensure their safety. On June 30th, Forrest was trimming a tree, as he has done so often when fell 20ft to the ground. Forrest suffered a fractured Sacrum, collapsed lung and broken ribs, he was quickly rushed to the hospital by fellow first responders. While Forrest is determined to make a full and quick recovery, he and his family do not have insurance and are left to front the costs of air evacuation, hospital stays, medical bills, and recovery thereafter. Forrest has shown unwavering gratitude to his family of four, his community, and the Lord that he is alive and able to make a full recovery. Unfortunately, the medical expenses that followed the accident have proved to be the biggest feat. We want to continue to remember Forrest as he continues to recover helping him in any way we can through donations, thoughts, and prayers.
