Dear friends and animal lovers, I am reaching out to you with a heavy heart to ask for your help. As many of you know Luna has been adopted by a lovely family where she is happy and safe. Unfortunately, Luna is facing a serious health issue. During her first week with her new family, Luna exhibited a limp in her back right leg. After taking her to the vet, we received the devastating news that she has a torn ACL and will require surgery. We were told that while some small dogs can put off the surgery, a large dog like Luna will favor the other leg to the extent that she will eventually injure the other leg as well. The vet bills have already accumulated to $800 and the surgery itself will cost another $6,000. As you can imagine, this is a huge financial burden for me and the family that has taken Luna in. We are doing everything we can to ensure that she receives the care she needs, but we could use some support from the community. Any funds raised will go directly towards covering Luna's medical bills and ensuring that she can make a full recovery.
