Cassidy’s Fundraiser No parent should ever face losing a child but on Thursday 13th July 2024, this tragically became a reality for Kim and Alex. Cassidy passed away due to a severe brain aneurysm. It happened suddenly and without warning, turning their whole world upside down in a matter of seconds. Life for them and their two gorgeous boys will never ever be the same again. She was the best big sister to Clay and Maverick and friend to so many. She had recently moved schools and cemented lots of new friendships at Wychwood Primary School. She was so excited to be starting Year 4 in September. The loss of Cassidy has rippled through the pupils, staff, parents and wider community. Cassidy had the most beautiful soul. She was intelligent, caring, fun loving with a sprinkle of cheeky and a twinkle in her eyes. In her dad’s words “she could lift a room with her infectious smile.” She had a whole lifetime ahead of her. Filled with excitement, endless love and adventures with her family and friends who adored her the most. The magnitude of her loss has been felt by us all but we cannot begin to comprehend the sense of loss Kim, Alex, Clay and Maverick feel. We want to ensure Cassidy’s memory is honoured and so many people have asked how they can help. Nothing will ever take this pain away from Kim, Alex, Clay and Maverick but we can all help the Niner’s honour Cassidy’s memory. They have always been an adventure loving family and over recent years have started to save for a family camper van to spend weekends away in. Any donation made via this page will go towards making this a reality, into creating a safe space for Kim, Alex and the boys to go to to remember and feel close to Cassidy. A space that she would have loved. Although this won’t ever bring her back, it will allow them to spend invaluable precious quality time together as a family. A camper van filled with her belongings and photos will hopefully mean she feels close to them all when they are ready to start adventuring again.
