Dear friends of Annie’s,  as many of you know, Annie and Alvin have had a very difficult start to their marriage.  She posted the following message on Facebook: Hi friends and family. I am so sorry I have been distracted and out of touch lately. As you may or may not know, Alvin and I have been through quite a wringer in the past few days. On the night of our rehearsal dinner, Alvin went missing. For a day and a half, we all looked for him tirelessly, trying to involve his landlord into opening the apartment door (she refused) and also trying to involve the Georgia and Tennessee police (they tried so hard to classify him as a runaway groom). After I hired a private investigator, he did the job of both police and got things done within 3 hours. He convinced the police to break down the apartment door to do a welfare check. Lo and behold, Alvin was on the floor of his bedroom, unable to move and had been unable to move for the past day and a half. This whole thing could have been prevented if the landlords of Valley Ridge apartments in Nashville, TN would just concede multiple requests to open the door for a guy who has a medical problem and could be in real medical danger. Alvin has been admitted into the hospital on Friday night and remains at the hospital to this day.Obviously, we didn't have our wedding. It had to be postponed. The important, the most important thing, is that Alvin is safe and surrounded by 24 hour care. He has not fully recovered yet but he will in due time. Doctors think that part of the reason it's taking him a while to recover is because he had been in the same position for a long time...just because the landlords needed to follow "policy" and didn't even bother to call their corporate office to check to see if an exception can be made.We are furious and sad at the heartlessness of those people. We were frustrated and still are at the police for their quickness to wrap up the case as a runway, despite us begging them not to.God willing, when Alvin gets better, we will return to NY to have a small ceremony and celebration with our close family and friends. I can't wait for that day.Special thanks goes to our friends and family for their unrelenting support and help - there are too many to list, I'm proud to say. Thank you all from the bottom of my heart. You gave us strength. Lots of love, Annu. We have created this fund to help Annie with medical and living expenses while neither she nor Alvin are working.  Thank you for your generosity,Mike, Angela & Jill
