I am Kevin C and am raising funds on the behalf of Brigitte (french resident in New Caledonia), once Brigitte requests, I will be transferring funds to her. We hope that this fund raising will be the solution for Brigitte to receive the best material and equipment for a daily life at home after a incredible shark attack Brigitte Xuan Do, is a high school teacher, a mother, a wife from New-Caledonia. She used to swim every day at the same popular beach in Noumea for over 20 years. But sunday the 29th of january 2024, a Bullshark attacked her, not once, not twice, but three times. The shark first bit her left thigh and part of her bottom; he came back and took her left hand away; the third time around, he took a big part of her right hand. Brigitte was left with a broken foot, on top of all the flesh and body parts eaten; some extremely rare and spectacular injuries. A man browsing around on a paddle board saved her from the water and carried her back to the shore; where she was taken to the nearest hospital. Two days later, thanks to the public health insurance of New-Caledonia, she got sent here in Sydney to get the best Australian surgeons to operate on her. Today, 6 months on, she has received the best medical care we could have wished for; the fantastic surgeons at the Westmead private Hospital have given her the best results. Brigitte is very strong mentally; she will be able to walk again and she has a right hand reconstructed with a big toe from her left foot. She will have an autonomy but it's still hard to figure all the things which will be needed to be set up at home and around to offer here the best life at possible, including our eventual participation to the cost of a prosthesis, a new car, access ramps, modification of the the bathroom ... Your help will for sure help her to retrieve a normal life at home; with her family and hoping to teach again in the main high school in Noumea. Many Thanks for all your support
