My name is Tyana Quinones My 51 year old Mom has been facing a battle no one could have imagined-to stay alive, despite being diagnosed with liver disease and given only a a few months to live without a liver transplant. Finally, after many long and excruciatingly painful months, in and out of hospitals, as she searched for a liver donor until she found one, our Mom, Flor Quinones Vera, has been given notification that she is on the transplant list. Finally, our courageous Mom is able to think about a long future ahead, instead of the end of her life in just a few short months. A miracle. It’s her turn. It’s a miracle-for our Mom, who loves life, lives it to the fullest, and who always manages to look at the bright side, with a smile on her face…even now! It’s a miracle for us, all 7 of her children, who are always at the center of her world, no matter her trials and tribulations; for her grandchildren, all 4, who she spoils in every way; and for all her friends and those she’s known through the years, whose lives have been made brighter and more complete because of Flor. Yes, it’s a miracle that before it was too late, our Mom is going to be able to have the transplant that will save her life. But, now she’s faced with losing her chance to live without your help. Medical and other expenses may be too great for my Mom to manage! We cannot lose our Mom! She is the love of our lives-our sunshine, our inspiration,and guide who fills our lives and the lives of all who know her, with love.
