Hello, friends and family of Shane. On behalf of Shane and Shannon, I am asking for your daily prayers and thoughts as they navigate the road ahead. As many of you know, Shane brings laughter to any room he is in and shares his love for life no matter if you’ve known him for 30 years or 30 seconds. Shane knows no strangers! Shane and Shannon married in Ireland in December and just shortly after they were beginning this next stage in their life, are facing unthinkable challenges both emotionally and financially. Shane collapsed 2 months ago and was rushed to Baptist Beaches where he was admitted to the ICU. What he thought was a toe infection, turned into sepsis and his health declined rapidly. He was intubated for 2 weeks and thankfully stabilized enough to be removed from the vent. He was recently airlifted to Shands Gainesville ICU and will need multi organ transplant. As their future is put on hold, Shannon will be moving to Gainesville to be there for Shane. In order to alleviate the astronomical medicals bill and after care costs, I ask that we pull together as a community to support Shane and Shannon. Any help to relieve this huge emotional and financial burden is greatly appreciated.
