•8/30: Update- I have had my consultations with NIH and learned that the surgery will now be a little more invasive (open lobectomy) due to a new lesion and lose the bottom portion of my right lung. They need to get in and visualize exactly what they are dealing with. I’ve had an MRI for clearer imaging and it’s now being reviewed by NIH at the moment. Hi, it’s Bree. As hard as this is for me I realized that I need to humble myself and ask for help. As you all know I have Stage IV Adrenocortical Carcinoma, ACC for short. Recently I have run into some troubles surrounding it. I was diagnosed with Colitis after months of misery and this led to me having to withdraw from treatment that was keeping my lung mets from growing. November 2024 I was still stable but in April 2024 it was found that my lung mets have grown, one to 9mm. With that being said I have a consultation coming up with an ACC specialist to go over further treatment plan and a consultation with a thoracic surgeon at NIH in Bethesda, Md to have my right lung operated on. I still have other issues going on with my health that I’m trying to resolve but it’s hard and taking a toll on me. My car is taking a beating and so is my bank account with trying to keep up with gas, maintenance etc. My son has to go back to school so I’m preparing for that and I have an apt to upkeep. I don’t know what I’ll need financially to make this trip, I just know I’m already struggling. Thank You for your continued love and support. If for any reason you feel uncomfortable donating please don’t feel any type of way. If you’d like to help in any other way (gift cards, wishlist, text etc.) I’m open to it all. • If you’d like to follow my story my socials are breecarlise on Facebook and breecarlise_ on Instagram•
