Dear friends, family, and kind-hearted supporters, We come to you today with heavy hearts and a deep sense of urgency to rally around Sammi, a courageous girl who has faced relentless health challenges in her lifetime. Sammi has shown incredible strength, resilience, and an unwavering spirit through major health ailments including, starting at the age of 10 when a brain tumor was discovered, leading to 31 bouts of radiation and 8 rounds of chemotherapy, each lasting 6 weeks. Additionally, she underwent numerous MRIs and CT scans and is now 60% hearing impaired due to the effects of radiation and chemotherapy. She also received blood transfusions and platelets, but unfortunately, experienced a severe allergic reaction and later suffered from shingles. At 25, she was diagnosed with kidney cancer, which resulted in kidney removal surgery, followed by gallbladder removal three months later. At the age of 30, an MRI revealed a growth on a salivary gland, and a biopsy confirmed that it was a type of tumor that would turn cancerous if not removed. Now, she faces yet another daunting hurdle with an unknown mass discovered in her reproductive organs. For a young soul to endure such physical and emotional burdens is truly heartbreaking, and we believe it's our responsibility as a caring community to come together and lift her up in every way possible. The medical journey she has been on has been grueling and financially draining.
