Channel 7 News Coverage Sun Sentinel Article Tragically, my sister and brother-in-law's house burned this Wednesday 10/21/15. The damage was extensive and the house has been officially condemned. As a family, we are housing them at my brother's house and covering their immediate needs until they can get over the shock of their loss and regroup.The fire was a result of an overheating laptop that ignited a mattress and burned out of control. Glenn was able to get all of the kids out safely. Michelle was out of town for her job and she took a redeye to get home to her family.Glenn and Michelle are a hard working family that are now trying to rebuild from scratch. Their oldest daughter is in the Honors accounting program in FAU and their oldest son is off to the US Marines in January. Their two youngest are in Middle School and Elementary School.This tragedy has stretched their resources and although their possessions cannot be replaced, they need help with their everyday needs. The Red Cross has generously provided $125 for each family member.If you have something that you would like to contribute, it would be used to help them cover the cost of temporary housing, clothing, food and health needs (burned glasses, medications, meters, etc). If you are not able, please keep them in your thoughts and prayers. And, I would like to thank you in advance for your generosity.
