Hi this is being done collectively as huge group of friends who would like to raise funds for one of our circle to be able to get a nice family holiday before treatment for cancer begins. Amanda was diagnosed with stage 3c melanoma in 2010 which had already spread to my lymph nodes. She had 13 hour surgery to remove the cancer and lymph nodes in her groin and tummy to try and prevent the spread. All the surgery caused lymphoedema in her leg which she has lived with ever since (she had to learn to walk again) Since then she has had 9 recurrences 9 lots of surgery….they told her at the time it would shorten her life but they didn’t know by how much. Amanda has now been told that this has now spread to her lungs which is another devastating blow. Obviously this has been hard to live with for herself and for her beautiful family. Amanda and Dee deserve a holiday and some respite from this and they are two extremely proud people who would never ever ask for help. So instead we as friends are asking for help for them. Let’s get them on holiday and let’s see if we can help support them so Danny can have the time off work to be with her every step of the way. We know times are hard for everyone at the moment and not asking for much. As they say Every Little Helps ❤️❤️
