Can you also imagine what it would be like to find that out AND lose everything you’ve built up over a lifetime? That’s what happened to Patrick Feely. Here is his story:My husband Patrick has been a hard-working chef for most of his life. He is a kind and loving husband and father who loves his family and works hard to provide for us. We have been together for well over 35 years and he is the most important person in my life.In September of 2014, two terrible and scary things changed our world. On September 14, our home and business was almost entirely destroyed by the most violent hurricane to ever hit Cabo San Lucas - Hurricane Odile. We had no water or electricity for more than two weeks. Our entire savings was wiped out trying to survive and keep our family restaurant open.About the same time, Patrick’s eyes began to bother him and his vision began to decline. They got worse every day to the point where he could not see much at all, and it became dangerous for him to continue to work in the kitchen. We had no choice but to have to close our business - our only source of income.We consulted a doctor and she said it was urgent to get Patrick into surgery, otherwise he will lose his sight in both eyes permanently!! But although I have gone back to work - we only have barely enough money to live day-to-day.YOU CAN HELP US. We desperately and urgently need to raise $15,000 U.S. dollars. We are still waiting for his surgery..the dr had to close off the eye because the light hurts and bothers. We are trying to establish his bloodpresure so he can have the surgery. I will update status and drs appt. and where the surgery will be done.
