Lukas, (my boyfriends brother) was in another car accident on 7/27/23. He had a passenger with him when they were struck by another driver. He was immediately taken to surgery for blunt head trauma and placed in ICU. He sustained contusions to both his lungs, a broken left clavical, leaking spinal fluid, and is facing possible loss of hearing in his left ear as well. He’s intubated and on sedation. They attempt to wake him up every shift, but his body is still expiercing the trauma he sustained so he continues being sedated for his safety. It is unknown at this time his cognitive state. He just turned 18 this month (July), just bought his first car two weeks ago by receiving a loan, but he has been experiencing a lot of negative in the past three years. To losing his mom in 2024, his father this year in March (2024), to his first car being totaled in April (2024). His brother Joshua and I have been giving him guidance through these struggles along with many others. Going to see him in the hospital in the state he’s in is very unknowing and heart breaking right now. He’s family to me, held very dear and loved as if he was my own kid. Lukas has so much good to experience left in this world and we pray he keeps fighting to be here. We appreciate all donations given, any shares of our page and of course prayers. He needs them and his family needs them as he will have a long recovery ahead. Anything truly helps us to get him all the best care possible. We are also unsure the cost, an update will be made when we know for medical expenses and Luke’s medical state as time goes on. ** I would like to add his accident is under investigation. For the safety of Luke, names will not be mentioned of the other victim and the driver who hit his vehicle. The hospital will also not be disclosed nor will pictures be disclosed. Of how he looks at the moment or of the accident, as again this is under investigation. ** Thank you.
