Hello, my name is Debby Benson and I appreciate you taking the time to read this. I created this Go Fund to help my dear friend, Don Davenport. Don is End Stage renal failure and needs your help. We need to get this link shared everywhere! There is important donor information included. Don’s expenses have become overwhelming. Medicare only covers 80% and the average cost of a kidney transplant alone is upwards of $500,000. He has spent one or two months a year in the hospital due to other complications from this. He is on over two dozen prescriptions, some of which are not covered by insurance. There are high travel costs associated with getting Don to and from his many appointments and surgeries. Don has been in renal failure for about 5 years and had no choice but to retire over 2 years ago when he reached end-stage renal failure, which is fatal. He was put on peritoneal dialysis where he was doing treatments 8 to 9 hours a night at home but that recently became inadequate, and he had to switch to hemodialysis where he is in a center 3 days a week 4 hours a day. He is finally on the kidney transplant list. He had to wait over a year due to Guillain-Barre syndrome. Don’s amazing wife Heather has been his absolute rock. She has been caring for Don full-time, along with caring for their sweet 10-year-old son, Noah. Please help this family! Anything you can do to help would be so appreciated!
